hey man what's the deal with the cold shoulder i even brought food earlier! are you pissed about something specific???
[legit trying to make an accounting of the most recent stupid things he's done to see if any of them might count as Offensively stupid in Kurama's estimation, but he's coming up blank.]
[ The video opens to Mitama, though just like in her recent post, she's wearing her "Santa disguise". She's here on an important business, after all. ]
Ho, ho, ho! Thank you for joining our Secret Santa event~ It's time to find out what ─ or rather who ─ your assignment as Santa's Little Helper for this year is! Drumroll, please...
[ She makes a pause for a dramatic effect, her hand slipping into a Santa hat she's holding and pulling out a small piece of paper with a name on it. ]
It's none other than... Kurt Wagner, da ba dee da ba di!
Remember, you should present your assignee with a gift of your choice until December 25th! Good luck, and remember: your main task is to spread joy, happiness and the spirit of Christmas cheer!
[It's early in the 25th morning. Most people are still sleeping and the sun is only about to send its first rays to break the darkness of the night sky. But then there is a sudden knock on a door. Huh?! Who could it be! Whenever Kurama gets to the door, be it immediately or hours late they will find a christmas wreath with white roses placed on their doorstep. There might even be snowy (or wet!) small hoof marks leading away from the present. Hm. I wonder, who indeed did deliver this?
On the wreath there is a letter that reads:]
Greetings my fellow Chosen.
Thank you for your support and help with strengthening our community by partaking in the training camp during September. I shall look forward to our continued collaboration in future. In the meantime I wish you the most pleasant and peaceful Christmas. There will be a feast held at the Inn’s tavern for the next 12 days and I welcome you to enjoy it for free. There will be warm food, treats and homemade mead and wine at your disposal.
Merry Christmas.
Signed, Richard Plantagenet, The Duke of Gloucester
[ooc: There will be no ic mingle log for the feast. But feel free to either handwave or thread it out!]
Once again, Kabane wakes bright and early, bothered by the nagging feeling that he's not doing enough. Enough of what? He doesn't know. But he's still here, in this strange new world, so he's clearly not doing enough of it.
It's time to try doing something new.
This is the simultaneously simple yet ambitious thought train that leads Kabane to the farm at six in the morning. He brings his own shovel and a container of water. After setting the container down on top of a fence, he nods, satisfied with his forethought. Then, he starts digging up animal shit.
Hiei had only retreated for a quick snack and a cat nap. Something to keep him going past the creeping toward overwhelming sleepiness that has settled in over the past month. He’s doing his best - what he thinks will be most beneficial to Kurama and what he knows the fox would want - but as time moves on it is taking more and more from him.
And not anything to do with time or activities other than napping, either. Purely to do with the stretch of energy needed in order to keep the Jagan on Kurama nearly constantly so that he can react exactly when needed. The little fire demon returns as quickly and quietly as ever, snacks in hand, but stops nearly dead as he comes upon Kurama looking … nearly normal?
Red eyes blink a few times as he tries to catch up a little, cautiously excited at the change. It is more rapid than he thought it might be, which causes hesitation, but -
“Kurama.” Surely the redhead can feel a swell of relief through their connection, the wall between them that was initially strong crumbling with time and fatigue.
“What happened?” A pause, and after a moment of thought Hiei offers the snacks he’d brought for himself. Usually he’d have more to say but … give him a minute to work through, here.
[Shaw comes in with her hands shoved in her pockets, a fresh bruise blooming on her cheek, and Bear the Belgian shepherd at her side (he's sporting a service dog vest that is absolutely fake). ]
I'm looking to refresh my first aid kit without having to rob the clinic. Do you have bandages and stuff here, or is it all-natural organic plant meds only?

Whatever the case, said gift comes in the form of a kind of weird-looking plant. It even has a bow on the pot. There's also a note:]
I don't know much about plants, but I heard you like them, and this one seemed interesting. Merry Christmas.
